Auburn University Assistant Bill Mosiello to speak at St. John's Winter Camp
Coach Mosiello's Bio:
- Played at Fresno State University
Coached:
- 4 years as the Head Coach at Cerritos Junior College (CA) where he went 143-34, won 4 straight conference titles and 2 Cal. JUCO Championships
- 2 years as an Asst. @ Cal-State Fullerton (went to the National Championship game)
- 2 years as an Asst. @ Tennessee (won 2 straight SEC titles)
- 1 yr as an Asst. @ Mississippi (set school record for wins in a season)
- 5 years as Associate Head Coach at Oklahoma (included 3 straight Big 12 championships)
- 1 year as an Asst. @ Arizona State
- 1 year as an Asst @ USC
- Coached 3 years in the New York Yankess Farm System, 2 as a manager,1 as a hitting instructor
- Has coached 24 All-Americans, 12 1st Round Picksk, 50 Major Leaguers including Phil Nevin, Todd Helton, Sean Casey, Craig Counsell and Dave Dellucci
- Baseball America tabbed Bill as the nations top assistant coach
- Earned manager of the year in the Alasaka Summer League (twice) and the Cape Cod League
Rodriguez Headed to Swarthmore College

Senior Lefthander Iggy Rodriguez has committed to attend Swarthmore College to play baseball. He becomes the 10th Cadet heading to play college baseball.

National Letters of Intent!

Nov. 14 marks the beginnning of the early signing period for College Baseball. The St. John's Baseball Program continues its storied success of sending players on to the next level with 9 players signing D1 Baseball Scholarships. Congratulations to these players:

SJC Baseball Summer Updates!
  • LJ Hoes selected as member of Junior Olympic Team. This marks the 2nd straight year he will be a member of a US National Team. Go to www.usabaseball.com for more information.
  • Scott Silverstein and LJ Hoes both invited to the Tournament of Stars in Cary, NC home of USA Baseball.
Pair of Cadets drafted on Day 2
Ivor Hodgson and Connor Hoehn became the fourth and fifth St. John's baseball players to be drafted since 2004. Hodgson currently is a sophomore at Mt. St. Mary's university and was an outfielder/pitcher on the 2005 WCAC Championship team was taken by the Kansas City Royals in the 17th round (516th overall). Hoehn, a 2007 graduate, has been the No. 1 pitcher for the Cadets the last two years was snapped up by the Milwakee Brewers in the 21st round (641 overall).
