The New Athletic Training Room
After the completion of the new weight room, the plans for the new athletic training room had begun after the July 4th weekend. It started with the removal of the mirrors and flooring to make way for a new tile floor and some plumbing built into the wall that's seen in the picture on the left. A fresh coat of paint finished the prep work needed before the arrival of the new equipment.
Plumbing was installed into this wall and a raised concrete floor was erected to create a wet area for the athletic training room. The concrete structure will be layered with red and white ceramic tile and will function as a place for treatment of the injured athletes. The wet area will include an ice machine and two small whirlpools.
The Athletic Training Room was completed in early August when the equipment and supplies arrived. The pictures below show each area of the training room.
The two just below show the treatment area and exercise equipment used for rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
The taping area is located in the center of the room while students receive whirlpool treatments in the wet area.
Mr. Walker works hard in the office during his non-busy hours. Storage is plentiful with this new cabinet space.
