Winner of the Lou and Ann Donatelli Award | On Tuesday, March 2, 2010, the St. John's art department celebrated their inaugural event, SJC Arts Gallery Night. The full auditorium of parents, faculty, staff and fellow students celebrated St. John's students artwork, 23 National Art Honor Society Inductees, nine art awards and were able to enjoy the St. John's Jazz Ensemble. Gallery Night also included keynote speaker, Mrs. Mary Anne Reilly, painter, who spoke to the audience about her inspiration as a successful artist.
One special award included the Lou and Ann Donatelli Art Award. Lou Donatelli is a 1952 graduate of St. John's, a Board member and benefactor of the St. John's arts facility. Marian Poley, senior, is the first student to receive this special award.
Other awards included, the Foundations in Art Award, Five Honorable Mentions, People's Choice Award and Best in Show.
