| This course is designed to meet both the present and the future physical needs of students through their participation in activities which will develop fitness, coordination, and sportsmanship. Students will participate in team sports, individual sports, and complete a physical fitness testing program. | |||||||||
| 702 Introduction to Sports Medicine | Grade 10/11/12 | .5 Credit | |||||||
| This course will cover basic human anatomy and how these structures work together to create movement. Emphasis will be placed on prevention, recognition, treatment, and taping of common athletic injuries. Approximately 40% of the course will involve hands-on skill development and practical experience on the field and in the Training Room. In addition, students will leave the course with a certification in both First Aid and CPR. | |||||||||
| 703 Weight Training and Conditioning | Grade 10/11/12 | .5 Credit | |||||||
| Students study human anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, ergogenic iaids, and their relationship and application to conditioning and weight training. Students will participate in and develop an individual weight training and conditioning program to improve cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, muscular endurance, and overall body strength. |

| The goal of this course is to introduce the student to a plethora of different topics in the business field. This full year course will cover the following areas in the business field: business ethics, the international and domestic economic environment, the law and business, information and communication systems, marketing, financial management , human resource management (organizing and dealing with employees), and the responsibilities attached to managing a business. In addition to developing skills that will apply to everyday life, this course will also help students to decide which specific field in business most interests them. | |||||||||
