Dear St. John’s students and parents,

As many of you have noticed, the St. John’s portion of the VarsityBooks.com web site has not yet come on-line. This is because a number of books were listed on the site that were not part of our book list. In order to make sure that no parent purchased unnecessary books, we did not allow the page to “go live".

Varsity Books has been notified of the problem areas and has made the corrections. Therefore, the St. John’s portion of the VarsityBooks.com web page should be up and running by 10:00 AM. on Thursday, August 9th.

We apologize for the confusion and inconveniece this situation has caused; espeically as many of you are on vacation or have planned your vacations around the book purchasing schedule. However, we felt it best to wait until the web page was corrected so parents would not purchase unnecessary books.

THE SOONER THE BETTER! - The longer you wait to order your books, the greater the chance they will not arrive by the first day of school.

FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR ISBNs - The International Standard Book Number (ISBN), located on the back of the book (above the barcode) or inside the book (on the verso of the title page), is what makes you a free agent. With these numbers, you can go anywhere and as long as you have the correct ISBN, you can be sure you are purchasing the correct book. VARSITYBOOKS.com no longer lists ISBNs on their web pages. So if you need the ISBN to buy a used book, please see the spread sheet linked above.
