Mercy

    I am a member of the New Jersey Region of The Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, a Catholic Religious community founded in 1831 in Dublin Ireland and including over 5,000 members from 12 different countries.

Teaching

    Teaching is what I enjoy most! I am currently teaching Spanish at Saint John's College High School, a Catholic Secondary School in Washington, DC.  My over 30 years teaching includes:  19 years here at St. John's, positions in four different private Catholic High Schools in NJ; Georgian Court College, Lakewood, NJ, Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, Los Angeles, CA, Colegio Fray Martín de Valencia, Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, México, and Religious Education in several Parish settings.  I am trained in education and have taught Spanish, French, English as a Second Language and Theology.

People

    I love people and keep in touch with many from all over the world!   I enjoy reading about them and learning of their contributions to a better world. I have travelled a lot including, TheHoly Land, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, México, Guatemala, and have contact with friends in Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, Guam, the Philippines, Honduras, Belize, Perú, and Panamá as well I love learning of the great differences in the expressions of peoples' faith, culture, and world views.  I always want to communicate this love with my students and to learn from their experiences as well.
