Costume List

“Basic basic” costumes: all basic costumes should be black (no charcoal or grey, black!). For men, the basic look should look someone “Armani casual” (think Ricky Martin - only black, not brown) For women, the look should be “dance clothingesque”. I mean that in the sense that they should be flowing so that they move with the dancer. Think dance skirts, leatards, and the like. What is MOST important for all cast members is that they be, as stated above, all black, and that they be flattering to the size and shape of the wearer. All leads will also have a basic costume they wear as thier chararcters. They are listed below.

Leading Players

Men
- black jazz shoes with thick black sox or layered sox with the top ones being black
- black pants of a semi-dress nature (perferably of a somehat loose)

Scene One: T HE OPENING
- all the cast members will wear the “basic blacks”.
Scene Two: HOME
- Pippin switches to jeans and muscle shirt and adds graduation robe
- child’s graduation robe for Theo
- Kate wears a nurses outfit
- Charles switches to an all clack suit with black dress shoes, black sox, black dress shirt and black tie, sash, robes and crown
- Fastrada switches to red flapper dress, white fan, and red or white high heals, long white gloves and pearls
- Lewis switches to black combat boots and fatigue pants
- all players who enter after “Welcome Home” should have added thier armour
- all the petioners will wear middle ages tunics (?)
- Pippin removes the graduation robe
Scene Three: WAR
- Pippin adds armour
- Charles removes the suit and adds full fatigues
- Lewis wears the same
- all the players add armour pieces
- the Leading Players add the boaters
Scene Four: THE FLESH
- Berthe wears a house dress, apron, wig, black high tops with dtriped sox, old lady wig and shawl
- Berthe’s boys all wear the black pants and shoes and sox with a black vest
- all players wear the blacks for “With You”
- Alma switches to trench coat and heels
- Stephanie and Jamie switch to business suits
Scene Five: REVOLUTION
- Pippin and revolutionaires all wear green fatigue tops with red bandanas and green army visor caps
- Pippin and revolutionairies switch to monk robes
- Charles is back in black suit with sash
- Pippin gets robe and crown
- Chris Wilson wears a rag shirt
- Natalie wears a plaid “work” shirt
- Jose wears a smoking jacket and ascot
- Patricia wears a cocktail dress with pearls
- Chris White wears a generals outfit
- Alma wears the armour from Scene Two - a complete set
Scene Six: ENCOURAGEMENT
- Leading Players and Pippin wear basic blacks
- Pippin wears smok and beret & priests outfil
Scene Seven: THE HEARTH
- Catherine wears a midevil dress
- Ladies will wear something besides the blacks but what, I don’t know
- Learding Players will also wear something when posing as the bedposts
- Theo wears a modified Pippin outfit: jeans & muscls shirt
- workers wear plaid “work” or “farmer” shirts
Scene Eight: THE FINALE
- everyone is back in the basic blacks
- Pippin, Catherine and Theo wear thier basic character costumes until the disrobing
- all leads switch to thier signature outfils for the curtin call
